Manager Skills Tier List: Which Specialization to Pick First
Six skills, five levels each, and limited skill points. We rank every manager specialization by long-term value so you can plan your progression.
Play NowThe Manager Specialization system gives you a slow, satisfying RPG-style progression layer on top of the club-building loop. Every match earns XP, every level-up grants a skill point, and you choose how to shape your managerial identity across six disciplines.
Tier S — Master Coach: Training progress is the engine of long-term success. A 50% boost at max level means your players develop faster, your youth prospects hit their potential sooner, and your squad outgrows the competition. This skill compounds across every season.
Tier S — Scout Master: Better youth prospects for free is arguably the strongest economy in the game. At max level you get five extra quality points and five extra prospects per week. Over a few seasons this floods your academy with sellable assets.
Tier A — Negotiator: A 25% reduction on every transfer fee is enormous once you start signing €5m+ players. It pays for itself within a single big transfer and keeps paying forever after.
Tier A — Diplomat: Fan happiness drives attendance and matchday income. Diplomat amplifies positive mood swings and softens the blow of defeats, keeping your stadium full through bad runs of form.
Tier B — Motivator: Morale affects team strength in matches. A useful boost, but morale is also manageable through winning — so this skill is strongest when you are struggling and weakest when you are dominant.
Tier B — Medical Guru: Halving injury chance is valuable, but injuries are already rare for most players (2% per match). It shines only for clubs with injury-prone stars or those running High Press tactics that drain fitness.
Our recommended first three picks: Master Coach, Scout Master, then Negotiator. This trio builds a club that develops talent, finds it cheaply, and signs it at a discount — the foundation of a dynasty.
