Update 0.5.1: A Living Fanbase — Ticket Prices, Realistic Crowds & Fan Growth
Version 0.5.1 rebuilds matchday attendance around your actual fan count, lets you set ticket prices per division, and adds a Fan Growth chart to the Club dashboard so you can watch your popularity climb with every win.
Play NowMatchday used to fill your stadium almost by default. No matter how small your club or how few fans you had, the stands were packed from day one. Version 0.5.1 changes that: your crowd is now a living thing, driven by the supporters you have actually earned, the happiness of those fans, and the ticket price you choose to charge.
Attendance is now calculated from your fan count, not just your stadium capacity. A portion of your fans turn up based on how happy they are, with a small walk-up crowd on top. Win matches, keep fans happy, and your attendances grow season over season. A brand-new club starting with 500 fans will see modest crowds — climb the divisions, grow your supporter base, and the stadium fills up.
Ticket pricing is now in your hands. Every division has a sensible default — €5 in the Amateur League, €10 in League Two, €15 in League One, €20 in the Championship, and €25 in the Premier Division — and you can adjust yours up or down on the Stadium page. Price above the default and fewer fans will come through the gates, but each one pays more. Price below it and you will pack the stadium, but earn less per head. Finding the sweet spot between revenue and a full, loud ground is now a real managerial decision.
To make sense of it all, the Stadium page now carries a Ticket Price & Attendance panel. It shows your current price against the division default, with a one-tap warning of whether your pricing is drawing fans in or putting them off, plus a breakdown of your last home crowd, season average, season high, all-time average, and a bar chart of your recent home attendances as a percentage of capacity. You can see exactly how your pricing and form are translating into bums on seats.
The second half of the update is about the bigger picture. A new Fan Growth chart on the Club dashboard plots your total fan base after every match, so you can see the direct correlation between results and popularity. Hover any point to see the season, week, and the result that match — a run of wins sends the line climbing, a losing streak dips it back down. It also tallies your matches played and total wins over the period, making your rise from a 500-fan amateur side to a household name visible at a glance.
Together these changes make your supporters feel real. They grow when you win, they stay away when you overprice or underperform, and their story is written into a chart you can revisit any time. Load a save — existing careers pick up the new systems automatically — and head to the Club and Stadium pages to see your fanbase come to life.
