Update 0.6.1: Three-Tier Sponsorship & Division-Scaled Rewards

Sponsor deals are rebuilt into three distinct categories — main shirt, stadium, and board — each with its own slot limit, contract length, and objective. Payouts now scale with your division, so the same sponsor pays far more in the Premier Division than in the Amateur League.

Commercial income has always been the quiet backbone of a Goalcrest club, but until now every sponsor was a flat weekly payment that never changed and never expired. Version 0.6.1 rebuilds the whole system into something with real structure, real choices, and a reward curve that finally reflects where your club sits in the pyramid.

Sponsors are now grouped into three categories, each with its own slot limit. The Main Shirt is your headline deal — you can hold one at a time, and it carries the largest weekly payment and sign-on bonus. The Stadium sponsor is a single slot too, priced similarly to the main deal, covering the ground's commercial signage. The Board category lets you stack up to three smaller deals at once, each worth roughly a fifth of a main-shirt contract — the steady trickle that keeps the lights on.

Every deal now runs for a fixed term rather than lasting forever. When you sign a sponsor, the contract is set to a random 5 to 15 matches, and a games-remaining counter on the Sponsors page ticks down with each fixture. When the term ends, the deal expires and the sponsor returns to the available pool, so you can re-sign them — or swap in a different partner. It turns sponsorship from a one-off decision into something you revisit through the season.

The biggest change is the new reward logic per division. The weekly payment, sign-on bonus, and objective bonus for every sponsor are now multiplied by your current division. The Amateur League is the baseline at one times; each step up the pyramid scales the payout, all the way to three times in the Premier Division. The same City Motors shirt deal that pays €5,000 a week in Division 5 pays €15,000 a week in Division 1. The Sponsors page shows your current division multiplier in the income header, and every deal card displays the division-scaled values, so what you see is exactly what you will earn.

Objectives carry over unchanged in spirit — win a set number of matches, score a target tally, keep clean sheets, or bank points — but their cash bonuses now scale with division too, so chasing a sponsor goal at the top of the pyramid is worth considerably more than the same goal at the bottom.

Existing careers get a clean slate. The first time you load a save after this update, any old sponsor deals are cleared and the available pool is rebuilt around the new three-category templates, so no legacy contract lingers with the wrong values. Head to the Sponsors page to see your division multiplier, fill your main and stadium slots, stack your board deals, and start watching the games-remaining counters tick down toward renewal time.
