Update 0.6.5: Match Flow Polish — Ratings, Attendance & No More Replays
Player ratings and attendance have moved to the Match Summary page, the post-training screen now offers quick jumps to Home or your next match, and the match screen can no longer be tricked into replaying the same fixture after you navigate away.
Play NowVersion 0.6.5 reorganises where post-match information lives and tightens up the match-day loop. The goal is a single, reliable place to review how your side performed, a clearer path forward after training, and an end to the edge case that let you replay a match by leaving the screen and coming back.
Player ratings and the attendance figure now live exclusively on the Match Summary page. Previously the match screen itself and the matchday round-up both showed a player ratings block, duplicating the information and cluttering the live view. Removing them from those screens leaves the match screen focused on the scoreline and live commentary, while the round-up page stays a clean snapshot of all the division scores from the day. The full ratings table — sorted by rating, with the Man of the Match highlighted and each player's season totals shown — is now presented once, on the summary, right beneath the match stats and goal scorers. Attendance is shown there too, alongside the weather, so the whole story of the fixture sits in one place.
Training has gained a pair of continuation buttons. Once a training session is applied successfully, two options appear beneath the result: a Home button that takes you straight to the dashboard, and a Next Match button that jumps directly to the match screen for the upcoming fixture. This removes the dead-end where, after applying training, the only way forward was to navigate manually through the bottom bar. Now you can pick your next move without extra taps.
The most important fix is to the match replay bug. The match screen previously relied on local component state to remember that a match had just been played, so if you played a match, navigated to another screen, and returned to the match page, that local memory was lost — the pre-match card would reappear and you could simulate the fixture again. The engine now flags a just-played match as pending review in the saved game state itself, so the result stays locked in across navigation and remounts. The match screen shows the result until you press View Match Summary, which clears the flag and lets the next fixture appear. You can no longer replay the same match, and the result you earned is always the one you review.
Together these changes make the match-day loop cleaner and more trustworthy: one screen for the live action, one screen for the full review, a clear path out of training, and a guarantee that every fixture only happens once.
