Update 0.6.7: Fan Growth Overhaul — Division Scaling, Streaks & League Glory

Your fanbase now grows faster the higher you climb, league titles and promotions trigger a supporter surge, relegation costs you a fifth of your fans, and winning or losing streaks amplify every result.

Supporters are the lifeblood of any club, and until now the rate at which your fanbase grew was the same whether you were battling in the Amateur League or lifting the Premier Division trophy. Version 0.6.7 rebuilds fan growth around three ideas: bigger clubs attract bigger crowds, glory is rewarded, and momentum cuts both ways.

First, fan growth now scales with your division. A result in the Premier Division moves the needle twice as much as the same result in the Amateur League, with a sliding scale of multipliers across all five tiers — 1× in Division 5, 1.2× in Division 4, 1.4× in Division 3, 1.7× in Division 2, and a full 2× at the top of the pyramid. The higher you climb, the faster your reputation translates into real supporters, so a top-flight winning run fills the stadium far quicker than an identical run at the bottom.

Second, league glory and promotion now carry a direct fan bonus. Win your division outright and 750 new fans flock to your club the moment the season ends; secure promotion via the play-off spot and 350 fans join the party. The flip side is relegation: dropping a tier costs you 20% of your existing fanbase, as the fair-weather support melts away. A club that was riding high can see a real dip in crowds the season after a relegation, so bouncing back matters more than ever.

Third, momentum now amplifies the fan reaction to every match. The engine tracks a running streak — consecutive wins add up, consecutive losses stack down, and a draw resets it. Once a streak reaches three matches, each additional result adds a 10% bonus on top of the normal fan change, win or lose. A five-match winning streak boosts your fan gains by 30%; a five-match losing streak deepens the fan exodus by the same margin. It means a hot run can supercharge your supporter base, but a slump can turn the terraces empty fast — the crowd reacts to the story of your season, not just the latest result.

Existing careers pick all of this up automatically on the next week. The streak counter starts fresh, the division multiplier applies from your very next match, and the promotion and relegation effects kick in the next time a season ends. Load a save, play your next fixture, and watch your fanbase respond to where you are in the pyramid — and how you are doing right now.
