Update 0.7.2: The Sponsorship Agency — Rolling Offers, Counter-Proposals & Rival Deals
A living Sponsorship Agency now runs alongside your sponsor slots. Time-limited proposals land on the Sponsors page every few weeks, each with a countdown and scaled terms — accept one, counter once for a bigger sign-on fee at the cost of weekly income, or let it pass to a rival.
Play NowCommercial income gets a heartbeat in 0.7.2. Alongside the sponsors you actively sign, a Sponsorship Agency now sends rolling, time-limited proposals to your club — fresh offers that arrive every three to six weeks, sit in a dedicated inbox on the Sponsors page, and expire if you do not act. It turns the sponsorship screen from a static shop window into a living negotiation table.
Each proposal is a complete deal: a brand name, a category, a weekly payment, a sign-on bonus, a contract length in matches, and an optional objective with a cash bonus. Every figure is scaled to your current division — the same multipliers that govern your signed sponsors apply here, so an offer in the Premier Division is worth several times the identical proposal in the Amateur League. A reputation gate sits on each offer, so the most lucrative brands will not even open their inbox to you until your club is big enough.
The inbox is built for fast decisions. Every proposal carries a visible countdown — roughly two weeks — shown on the card. A three-button row lets you accept the deal on the spot, send a one-round counter-offer, or decline and pass. Accepting moves the sponsor straight into your active deals, respecting the category slot limits, so a full main-shirt slot blocks a new main-shirt proposal from being signed. If a deal is rep-locked, the accept button is disabled and a note tells you exactly what reputation you need.
Counter-proposals are the tactical layer. Tap Counter on a proposal you like the look of but want sweeter, and the agency comes back once: a larger sign-on bonus in exchange for a lower weekly payment. You can counter each proposal exactly once — a second counter is blocked — so the choice is binary: take the original terms, take the countered terms, or decline. It rewards managers who know whether their club needs cash now or a steadier weekly income.
Let the clock run out or tap Decline and the offer does not just vanish — it passes to a rival club. A notification tells you which sponsor slipped away, so ignoring the agency is a genuine decision with a cost, not a silent dismissal. The agency keeps rolling regardless: every time the cooldown elapses, a fresh proposal is generated and lands in the inbox, so there is always something new to consider within a few weeks.
Under the hood, the agency is wired into the game's weekly calendar. The same week advance that pays wages, heals injuries, and refreshes the transfer market also ages every pending proposal by a week, expires any whose countdown has hit zero, and rolls the cooldown for the next fresh offer. New careers are seeded with one opening proposal the moment the club is created, so the inbox is populated the first time you visit the Sponsors page. Existing saves pick the system up automatically on their next week advance — no restart needed.
Load any save, open the Sponsors page, and the Sponsorship Agency section sits above the standard available-sponsor pool, populated with whatever proposals are currently live for your club. Accept the ones that fit your finances, counter the ones worth a haggle, and let the rest pass to a rival — the commercial side of your club now moves at its own pace.
