Update 0.8.4: Redesigned Post-Match Screen & Stamina Now Drains Fitness

The Match Summary page is rebuilt around a clear hierarchy — hero result card, key takeaways, a performance overview strip, and a tabbed deep analysis across Overview, Events, Players, and Finances. On the pitch, the stamina attribute finally matters: high-stamina players lose noticeably less fitness per match, while low-stamina players drain faster. The home dashboard also gets a sharper Quick Access system.

Version 0.8.4 rebuilds the screen you land on after every fixture, and closes a long-standing gap in how the stamina attribute affects your squad. Two changes land together — a redesigned Match Summary page built for clarity and a tablet/desktop sidebar, and a fitness-drain formula that finally makes the stamina stat matter on matchday. The home dashboard also picks up a sharper category-based Quick Access system.

The Match Summary page has been restructured around a single, clear hierarchy so the most important information is always at the top. The first thing you see is a dominant hero result card — the full-time scoreline, a victory/draw/defeat pill, the match context (home or away, league or cup, weather and attendance), and the primary call-to-action buttons. On mobile you get one primary CTA and a secondary text link; on tablet and desktop, up to three inline CTAs sit in the hero. Beneath that sits a Post-Match Analysis narrative — a headline summarising the performance, the contributing factors, and an actionable takeaway — so the cause and effect of the result reads in seconds.

A new Performance Overview strip gives you the key takeaways at a glance: the standout player, the weak link, total team XP earned, how many players improved, and — only when relevant — the injury and red-card counts. Each is a compact mini-card with its own icon and tone, so the story of the match is legible before you scroll into the detail. On mobile the strip sits between the analysis and the tabs; on tablet and desktop it lives in a right-hand sidebar alongside a Next Steps panel, so the wide screen is used for genuine information density rather than stretched whitespace.

The deep analysis is now organised into four tabs — Overview, Events, Players, and Finances. The Overview tab carries compact comparison stats (goals, shots, chances missed, corners, saves, cards), a goals recap, and a dedicated missed-chances summary box. The Events tab is a filterable condensed timeline: tap All, Goals, Chances, or Cards, and every relevant event is listed with its minute, an icon, the player, a label, and a clear YOU or OPP marker — no more scrolling through a wall of commentary to find the moment that mattered. The Players tab leads with a highlighted "Players improved" subsection, then the full ratings list with XP progress bars, the Man of the Match marker, and each player's season totals. The Finances tab embeds the weekly finance summary and a single link through to the full accounting page.

The page is responsive across every viewport. On a phone it stacks single-column with the performance strip above the tabs and a sticky-feeling bottom action block — one primary CTA (Matchday Round-Up, or Season Summary if the campaign is over) plus a contextual next step that adapts to the result: Review Tactics after a defeat, Medical Center when injuries are flagged, Set Training otherwise. On tablet and desktop a two-column layout caps the content width at 1400px, with the performance overview and next-step actions pinned in a right-hand sidebar so they stay visible as you scroll through the analysis tabs. Every CTA is surfaced both near the hero and again at the bottom, so you never have to scroll back up to decide what to do next.

The second change is on the pitch, and it answers a question managers have asked since the seven-attribute system shipped: does stamina actually affect fitness? Until now it did not — the per-match fitness drain was a flat base of 15–25 points, modified only by the Tireless and Low Stamina traits, your tactical settings, and the weather. The stamina attribute fed into a player's overall rating and midfield team strength, but had no bearing on how tired he got. From 0.8.4, stamina is wired directly into the drain formula: a 99-stamina player now loses roughly 25% less fitness per match, while a 10-stamina player loses about 20% more. The effect scales linearly across the whole range, and traits, tactics, and weather still multiply on top, so a Tireless workhorse with 90 stamina is genuinely hard to run into the ground.

Finally, the home dashboard gains a category-based Quick Access system. The old flat grid of action buttons is replaced by four themed drawer cards — Team, Match, Transfers, and Club — each tappable to reveal its deep-linked destinations, with dynamic status badges surfacing urgent items like injuries, expiring contracts, incoming scout reports, and pending sponsorships. The desktop sidebar navigation is being regrouped to match the same four categories, so the structure you learn on mobile carries straight through to the wide screen.

Load any save and every change is live immediately — no restart needed. Play your next match and land on the redesigned Match Summary, field a high-stamina eleven and watch them hold their fitness deeper into the run-in, and open the home dashboard to find the new Quick Access cards. The post-match moment and the stamina attribute finally pull their weight.
