Update 0.5.6: Golden Boot Race & A Truer Overall Rating
A dedicated Top Scorers page now tracks the leading marksmen across all five divisions in one Golden Boot leaderboard, and player overall ratings have been rebuilt so goalkeepers are judged on their shot-stopping and outfielders on the attributes that actually matter for their role.
Play NowTwo changes land in 0.5.6: a new home for the goalscoring charts, and a fairer way to grade every player in the game.
The Top Scorers list that appeared on the League page last update now has a page of its own. Open it from the League view and you will find a single Golden Boot leaderboard ranking the top finishers across the entire pyramid — all five divisions side by side — so you can see who is really leading the race, not just in your own league. The current overall leader gets a highlighted Golden Boot card at the top, and below it each division keeps its own breakdown so you can still scout the sharpest shooter in your own division.
Because the leaderboard pulls from every division, a 15-goal striker in the Amateur League sits right next to a 15-goal man in the Premier Division — making the cross-division Golden Boot a genuine, season-long contest for the first time.
The second change is under the hood but you will feel it on every player card. Overall ratings are no longer a flat average of all four attributes. Goalkeepers are now rated on their goalkeeping stat alone, which is the only one that matters for them. Outfielders are rated on the average of their three relevant attributes — defense, midfield, and attack — with goalkeeping dropped from the calculation since it never applies to them.
The result is that a top goalkeeper now shows a high overall that reflects their actual quality, instead of being dragged down by low outfield numbers. An elite keeper who previously looked like a 3 overall now reads as the 7 or 8 they truly are. The same applies in reverse: outfielders are no longer inflated by a goalkeeping number that was always just 1.
The new rating feeds through to market value, scouting grades, youth assessments, and the AI rosters on every club detail page, so the whole pyramid now grades players on the same consistent basis. Existing careers pick this up automatically for your own squad; start a fresh save to see it reflected on AI players from day one.
