Update 0.5.7: Match Ratings, MOTM & the Playmaker Race

Every player now earns a 1–10 rating after each match based on what they actually did in that game — goals, assists, clean sheets, and the result — with the top performer marked Man of the Match. Assists are now tracked across the whole pyramid, and a new Top Assists leaderboard runs alongside the Golden Boot on the Top Scorers page.

Two new threads run through every matchday in 0.5.7: each player is now graded on their own performance, and the assist charts have come to life alongside the goals.

When a match finishes, every member of your starting eleven receives a match rating on the familiar 1–10 scale. The grade is built from what that player actually did in the game — a goal is worth a full point, an assist adds six-tenths, a clean sheet boosts defenders and goalkeepers, and conceding pulls a keeper's mark down. The result tilts it too: a win lifts every rating, a loss drags it, and a Big Match Player gets an extra nudge when you win. A touch of randomness keeps it from feeling mechanical, so two goalless outings are never identical.

The ratings show on the Match screen right after full-time, sorted from best to worst with each player's goal and assist contributions listed underneath. The standout — the highest-rated performer on the day — is tagged MOTM, so you can see at a glance who earned the man-of-the-match honours.

The second change stretches across the whole pyramid. Assists are now tracked for every club in every division, not just yours. When a goal goes in during an AI fixture, the provider is credited alongside the scorer, weighted toward realistic build-up play. Your own players' assists were already counted; now they sit in a proper league-wide ranking instead of sitting in isolation.

The League page gains a Top Assists panel beneath the Top Scorers list for the division you are viewing, and the Top Scorers page now carries a Goals / Assists toggle. Switch it over and the combined leaderboard, the headline leader card, and every per-division breakdown flip to the assist charts — the Playmaker race runs side by side with the Golden Boot, across all five divisions at once.

Assist counters reset at the start of each new season, just like goals, so the Playmaker title is a fresh contest every year. Load a save, play a match, and check the Match screen for your player ratings — then head to the League or Top Scorers page to see the new assist charts take shape as the season goes on.
