Update 0.5.8: Rename Your Players
You can now rename any player in your squad. Open the Team page, expand a player card, tap Rename, and type a new name — it saves to your career instantly and shows everywhere that player appears.
Play NowYour squad is yours, and so are the names on the shirts. Version 0.5.8 adds a simple but oft-requested feature: the ability to rename any player in your squad.
Open the Team page and expand any player card. A Rename control sits at the top of the expanded panel. Tap it, an inline text field appears pre-filled with the current name, type whatever you like (up to 40 characters), and confirm. The change saves straight to your career and is reflected everywhere that player is shown — the squad list, match commentary, top scorer and assist charts, and the player ratings screen.
Want to name your wonderkid striker after yourself, your club legend, or a nickname only you understand? Now you can. The rename is permanent for that save, so pick names you will be happy to see lifting the trophy at the end of the season.
Head to the Team page, expand a player, and give someone a new identity.
