A lot changed in Goalcrest today. Three updates landed back to back — 0.5.9, 0.6.0, and 0.6.1 — and together they touch almost every part of the matchday experience, the way players are graded and developed, and the commercial side of your club. This article pulls all of it into one place so you can see the full picture at a glance.

Matchdays feel alive (0.5.9). Every game now rolls real weather — clear skies, rain, snow, or a heatwave — that shapes expected goals and drains fitness at different rates. Your stadium atmosphere drives live crowd-reaction commentary, so a full, happy ground roars your side on while a tense one falls quiet. Roughly every few weeks a reporter queues up a press conference, flagged on the home dashboard, and your answer shifts squad morale, fan happiness, and reputation. Every sponsor now carries a cash-bonus objective — win matches, score goals, keep clean sheets, or bank points — with a live progress bar on the Sponsors page.

Players are graded on a 1–99 scale with trainable ceilings (0.6.0). Every attribute — goalkeeping, defense, midfield, and attack — now runs from 1 to 99 instead of the old 1–9 bands, so the gap between a good player and a great one is visible at a glance. Each attribute also splits into a current rating and a potential ceiling set by age and talent, shown as "current / potential" on every player card. Training now drives a player toward that ceiling with diminishing returns, so closing the last few points is much harder than the early gains. Existing saves are migrated automatically.

Sponsorship is a three-tier system with division-scaled rewards (0.6.1). Sponsors are grouped into Main Shirt (one slot), Stadium (one slot), and Board (three smaller deals), and every contract now runs a fixed 5–15 matches before expiring back into the pool. The headline change: weekly payments, sign-on bonuses, and objective bonuses all multiply by your current division — the Amateur League is the baseline at 1×, scaling all the way to 3× in the Premier Division. The Sponsors page shows your multiplier and division-scaled deal values, so what you see is what you earn.

Existing careers pick all of it up automatically. The 1–99 scale and potential ceilings are backfilled on load, the sponsor pool is rebuilt around the new three-category templates, and the matchday systems activate the moment you play your next fixture. Load a save and play a match to feel the difference across the whole day's work at once.
