Update 0.8.5: 3× Match Speed for Faster Matchdays
The live match playback controls now include a 3× speed, so you can rattle through a comfortable win or skip straight to the moments that matter. The 0.5×, 1×, and 2× options remain, and the feed never restarts when you switch — it simply adjusts the pacing for the events still to come.
Play NowVersion 0.8.5 is a small but oft-requested matchday quality-of-life change: a faster way to watch a match play out when the result is no longer in doubt. The live commentary and 3D replay engine already supported four playback speeds; this update adds a fifth and reshuffles the set to cover the full range from slow-motion analysis to a near-instant blast through the fixture.
The speed selector on the live commentary panel now offers four options: 0.5×, 1×, 2×, and 3×. The slowest setting is for the moments you want to savour — a late winner, a tight finish, a cup final going to the wire. Normal speed is the default broadcast feel. 2× is the fast-forward you reach for once you are three goals clear and the points are banked. The new 3× pushes that last gear further, streaming events through the feed at roughly a third of real time, so a routine win can be reviewed in well under a minute without skipping the result itself.
Switching speed mid-match never restarts the feed. As before, tapping a new speed simply adjusts the pacing for the events still to come — the commentary you have already read stays in place, the goal celebrations and 3D replays already triggered are unaffected, and the live scoreline carries on climbing as the remaining events stream through at the new rate. You can slow down for a tense finale just as easily as you sped up the comfortable lead that preceded it.
The 3D replay engine respects the active speed too. When 3D Replays are enabled, each key-moment replay plays out at the selected speed before the commentary and goal audio land — so at 3×, the build-up, the strike, and the goalkeeper dive flash past in a fraction of the time, while at 0.5× you get the full slow-motion treatment for the moments worth lingering over. The match view toggle (3D Replays or pure Commentary) is untouched, so whichever path you prefer now has a faster top gear.
